Well what a busy few weeks we have had. Even with my second-year university exams, I’ve managed to get most of the horses out competing this month. Ben pony made his competition comeback in May with his first showing event where he smashed it to win his class. He most recently cleaned up at the local PC show winning the Veteran, Riding Club Horse and Open Workers class… not bad to since he hasn’t jumped a course in over a year and a half! We are now looking forward to competing at the Royal Three Counties Show in the In-Hand Sports Horse class.

I also got to go to compete in my first ODE in one and a half years on the lovely Cadbury. To say she was thrown slightly in the deep end might have been somewhat of an understatement but she did me proud and tried her hardest to understand what was going on. Unfortunately, baby brain got the better of us slightly but at least we completed the event.

We’ve also been out XC schooling at Lyneham Heath where Polly was on absolute flying form. Most recently I managed to steal Polly for a quick spin round a dressage test and we finally broke the 70% barrier for a very respectable 3rd place.

Very much looking forward to the summer months. Hopefully getting Ben out to a few bigger shows to try and have a stab at some workers qualifications as well as going eventing a few more times.
